FOCO1000x
The FOCO 1000x project was financed by Ministerio de Industria, Turismo y Comercio in 2007. This Project belongs to the program PROFIT.
Design and development of a solar concentrator prototype which makes use of high efficiency solar cells. The aim is to improve the efficiency of the current photovoltaic concentrators in order to reduce the price associated to the generation of electricity.
The main purpose of the FOCO 1000x Project is to design and develop the first prototype of a novel photovoltaic concentrator which makes use of high efficiency solar cells.
As a result, we expect to obtain two concentrators which improve the efficiency of the actual systems in the area of electric energy production and therefore the cost of the energy production will be reduced in solar plants.
