Researcher in Digital Twins
Join a pioneering research project that combines BIM, advanced sensing technologies, 3D laser scanning, drones, and digital modeling to understand the behavior of radon gas in historic buildings and contribute to the intelligent preservation of architectural heritage.
You will work with advanced BIM models, point clouds acquired through laser scanners and drones, data collected from environmental sensors, and digital automation tools to build a digital twin capable of integrating, visualizing, and analyzing complex information in heritage environments.
Workload
- Initial duration: 12 months
- Full-time position: 37.5 hours per week
Availability to travel as required by the project.
Financial Support
- Gross annual salary: €24,000
- Expected start date: July 2026
Permanent scientific-technical activities contract (Article 23 bis of the Spanish Science Act).
Candidates with a Master's Degree in
- Architecture
- Geomatics
- Other related disciplines connected to digital modeling, BIM, architectural heritage, or the digitalization of the built environment.
- A high level of proficiency in both English and Spanish is essential.
Location
The activities will take place primarily at the Centro de Digitalización Intermodular (CeDInt-UPM).
