The Centre for Intermodular Digitalization (CeDInt-UPM) participated in a new edition of the SUSBCC Proptech Entrepreneurship Hackathon, an international initiative promoted by the SusBCC community within the European University Alliance EELISA. The event brings together students, researchers, and professionals to develop innovative solutions focused on sustainability, digitalization, and the transformation of buildings and cities.

During the closing ceremony, Roberto Prieto, Director of CeDInt-UPM, presented the special award granted by the centre to one of the participating teams, recognizing the value of their proposal and its contribution to the development of innovative technological solutions with a positive impact on areas such as sustainability, energy efficiency, circular economy, and smart construction.
The hackathon enabled participants to work intensively over three days in multidisciplinary teams, developing projects aimed at addressing real-world challenges through the use of innovative technologies. The high technical level and creativity demonstrated by the students highlighted the talent and capability of the next generation to tackle challenges related to sustainability and digital transformation.
Participation in initiatives such as the SUSBCC Hackathon reinforces CeDInt-UPM’s commitment to promoting open innovation, supporting emerging talent, and strengthening collaboration between academia, research, and society.
CeDInt-UPM would like to thank the event organizers for their invitation and congratulate all participants on their excellent work, as well as on their commitment to building a more sustainable, efficient, and connected future.
