The 11th edition of the Smart Energy Congress, organized by the enerTIC.org Platform, has clearly demonstrated the progress in the transformation of the Spanish ecosystem and has once again closed its doors with a record attendance.

This edition of the Congress has highlighted the advancement in the transformation of the Spanish environment, as well as the commitment of the public and private sectors to accelerate this process of change. This has been demonstrated by the positive reception from the professionals who attended the event.

The official inauguration was presided over by Ms. Silvia Roldán, Deputy Minister of Digitalization of the Community of Madrid, emphasizing the Community's commitment to digitalization, efficiency, and sustainability.

In this edition, topics of great interest have been analyzed, generating high expectations due to the current global context and the need to quickly adapt to the new demands of the market.

To achieve this, the over 1,500 attendees at the Congress have enjoyed an exceptional program, featuring presentations by expert companies that are developing innovative solutions and panel discussions that have analyzed the situation from various perspectives (industry, energy, technological infrastructure, cities, and public administrations). This agenda has been crucial in achieving attendance goals and creating a high-value professional environment, bringing together the different stakeholders in the ecosystem who are the true drivers of the ongoing digital and energy transformation.

Congress Title: "Leading the change for a green & digital future." The eleventh edition of the Smart Energy Congress has met expectations by generating discussion about the progress of the transition, analyzing key strategies to move at the required pace, and promoting collaboration in both the public and private sectors.

In addition to sessions in auditoriums and meeting rooms, "Matchmaking" meetings were held to facilitate connections among attendees. The event also featured an exhibition area with different stands and information. Furthermore, the lunch-colloquium on the first day brought together over a hundred executives from public administrations and companies.

The Congress featured the participation of over a hundred companies and more than 100 high-level speakers.

In the current context of market volatility and the need to align with digitalization and sustainability policies, the Congress focused on four strategic pillars: the decarbonization of industry, sustainability in public administration, the 4Ds strategy of energy companies, and the implementation of "green" solutions in digital infrastructures.

Institutional support was essential, with the Community of Madrid, CDTI, and the City of Madrid contributing to the success of the Congress.

The Congress's focus aligns with the strategy of the Community of Madrid: efficiency, sustainability, and digitalization.

Enabling technologies such as Generative Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Machine Learning, and hyper-automation were presented as drivers for advancing the energy and digital transition. Spain is positioned as a leading country in technology and sustainability, committed to European energy efficiency goals.

The Smart Energy Congress is the flagship event organized by enerTIC.org, which offers an annual Activities Plan aligned with its mission to promote the use of new technologies for the benefit of energy competitiveness and sustainability.

The next event will be the Awards Ceremony for the 11th edition of the enerTIC Awards in 2023, which will take place on December 14 in Madrid.

The Platform is already working on a new Activities Plan for the upcoming year, with the challenge of continued growth and strengthening its ecosystem.

The Smart Energy Congress received support from sponsoring companies and partners, as well as institutional collaborations. The next edition will take place in October 2024.
