Roberto Prieto, nuevo Director del CeDInt

The Centro de Domótica Integral (CeDInt) of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid begins a new stage with the appointment of Roberto Prieto López as the new director of the center. With a solid academic and research career, Roberto Prieto assumes this new challenge with the aim of consolidating and projecting the role of CeDInt as a reference space in technological innovation, energy efficiency and intelligent environments.

Professor of the Department of Automatics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Industrial Informatics since 2016, and linked to that department since 2000 as Full Professor, Roberto Prieto has been closely linked to applied research within the UPM. He is a member of the Group in Applied Electronic Technology (GTEA) since 2021, and is part of the Center for Industrial Electronics (CEI) since 2006.

His relationship with CeDInt is not new, but it is now formalized with his appointment as director as of May 2025. From this role, Prieto faces important challenges: “CeDInt faces challenges associated with the growth of its activity, such as the implementation of a training program that is aligned with the lines of research that are being developed, as well as ordering and coordinating the different groups and people involved in the project, always in tune with the university's strategy”.

With this boost, CeDInt reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence, knowledge transfer and technological innovation aimed at improving society.
