Reunión en Madrid del comité de la acción COST TU 1204 - People Friendly Cities in a Data Rich World

Wednesday, 7 October 2015

Between September 30 and October 2 was held in Madrid the annual technical committee meeting of the COST action TU 1204 – People Friendly Cities in a Data Rich World.

Project members met at the Rectorate of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and in CeDInt for carrying out the symposium, conferences and to visit the Smart Campus Montegancedo IoT.

Against this background, the Action builds on an ESF exploratory workshop on the emerging theme of smart and liveable cities. Supported by a European network of candidate cities, the Action co-ordinates a trans-disciplinary network of experts and non-experts that investigate the alignment of the hardware and software of a city with user needs to promote well being, good health, and a sustainable use of resources, within an evolving people-centred consultation framework for economic, cultural, and political development. http://www.cost.eu/COST_Actions/tud/TU1204

It is a unique means for them to jointly develop their own ideas and new initiatives across all fields in science and technology, including social sciences and humanities, through pan-European networking of nationally funded research activities. http://www.cost.eu/
