Under the title: “Best practices for application of home automation devices in Alzheimer patients’ homes: presentation of the DomALz report" next June 6th will take place in Madrid the XIV Monographic Encounter of Foundation Alzheimer España.

The objective of the DomAlz project and report is to identify or develop management applications over devices that help to assist Alzheimer patients and caretakers in sis everyday activity by encouraging participation of relatives and professionals to the care automation research. During the encounter, the findings of the "caretakers-researchers" groups (phase 1) in fields as security, wellbeing and free-time will be explained and also the basic principles for the development of a managed security service. With the collaboration of CeDInt/UPM (Centro de Domótica Integral de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid),  caretakers and the participation of: Alberto Brunete (Telecomm Engineer and PhD in Robotics and Automation of UPM, visiting Professor of Universidad Carlos III of Madrid), Ángel Martín (Telecomm Engineer of UPM, Strategy and customer relation Manager at CeDInt/UPM), Rocío Martínez (Telecomm Engineer of UPM, researcher and project manager at CeDInt/UPM),Mercedes Calle (caretaker), y Jacques Selmès (Secretary of FAE, and former President of Alzheimer Europe)
