Innovación digital, competitividad energética y sostenibilidad impulsan la 10ª edición del SmartEnergyCongress.eu, en Madrid.

Thursday, 22 September 2022

With just under 2 months to go, enerTIC.org, a platform that promotes energy efficiency and digitalization with the collaboration of its more than 80 associated companies, is approaching the final stretch for the celebration of the 10th edition of its annual Congress, on November 16 and 17, at IFEMA's North Convention Center. This is a reference event that will bring together professionals from different sectors who are committed to innovation, technology and the improvement of energy competitiveness.

This new edition of SmartEnergyCongress.eu is organized under the title "Digital innovation at the service of energy competitiveness", and, in line with the purpose of the Platform, will revolve around three main pillars:

  • Technological solutions, provided by specialized consultancies and companies.
  • Solutions provided by energy companies.
  • Open innovation, catalyzed by the tractor effect of the Next Generation EU Funds.

The Congress, which is expected to bring together more than 2,500 professionals, will have two large Auditoriums (strategic and technological approaches) and different collaborative spaces in areas such as Energy & Utilities, Industries & Mobility, IT Infrastructure & Data Center and Territories & Cities, oriented to innovation, technology and the search for synergies and networking. Within this framework, innovative solutions and success stories will be shared, B2B meetings and European funds will be held, and the startup and entrepreneurial ecosystem will be present.

A meeting in which, given the current energy paradigm, the Platform, with the support of its Associated Companies and Institutional Collaboration Network, aims to foster alliances and mobilize the different stakeholders to discuss trends, challenges and opportunities in key ecosystems such as Cities (Smart Buildings, Smart Tourism, Lighting, . .), Industries (Industry 5.0, Smart Manufacturing Smart Logistic...), Energy (Smart Grids, Renewable Generation, Energy Storage,...) and Technological Infrastructures (AI Computing, Smart Data Centers, Green IT,...). Environments in which, according to data from the survey conducted by enerTIC.org last semester, 80% of managers have already become aware of the strong impact that the energy and digital transition is having on business models.

A unique opportunity to meet the main stakeholders, detect opportunities and share experiences with other managers committed to efficiency and sustainability.

In this sense, Spain is a benchmark and has experienced companies/organizations with recognized technological leadership to contribute to the decarbonization of the economy, the energy transition and the improvement of business competitiveness.

The Platform, together with associated companies and technical committees, is finalizing a complete agenda to convey to public and private sector managers how they can contribute, with the use of technologies, to improve the efficiency of their organizations, develop sustainability strategies and align with the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals and Agenda 2030, being this, currently, an aspect of particular relevance in decision-making within organizations, according to data from the survey conducted by enerTIC.org (70% of the managers consulted made this consideration).

enerTIC.org, since its creation more than 10 years ago, has been working along these lines, promoting knowledge and experience in technological and digitalization solutions to improve energy efficiency, to be more sustainable and, therefore, more competitive, providing spaces for knowledge, analysis and reflection, promoting collaboration through its Annual Activity Plan, whose work and results converge in the SmartEnergyCongress.eu.

Among its partners are major telecommunications operators, technology consultants, large manufacturers, leading service providers, energy companies and universities.  And, as sponsors of SmartEnergycongress.eu, it already has the support of companies like Capgemini, DTC Mission, Ibermática, Inetum, Minsait, Barbara IoT, Google Cloud, Shell, Amplia iiot, Babel, DXC Technology, ECOMT, ENGIE, Esri, GMV, MathWorks and Vass. Companies that are also committed to innovation and technological development to successfully overcome the major challenges posed by the energy and digital transition.

Everyone's commitment is the key to continuing progress and achieving our goals.
