EnerTIC's mission is to 'Contribute to the development of the transformation potential of Information and Communication Technologies in the field of energy efficiency in Spain with the support of Associated Companies and public institutions, in favour of a more competitive and sustainable economy'.  The Platform works, both in the public and private sectors, to promote initiatives and activities of awareness, promotion and dissemination, as well as multi-organizational cooperation, which favours the application of ICTs to improve the energy competitiveness of people, technological infrastructures, Spaces and Buildings, and strategic Sectors.

For the last six years, the enerTIC Awards have been awarded to the most innovative technological projects carried out by companies and organisations committed to energy efficiency and sustainability. This sixth edition of the awards has had more than 116 candidates, 58% more than the last edition.

After the closing of the deadline for submission of applications, the Technical Committee of the enerTIC Platform will analyze and select the finalist projects based on the evaluation criteria, as established in the bases of the call. The final list of finalists will be published on 28 September on the Awards website and will be announced on 14 November at the presentation of the VII SMART ENERGY Reference Guide at the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona.

After the announcement of the finalist projects, an online voting period will be opened until 16 November, during which it will be possible to vote which of the finalist projects deserves to obtain the enerTIC Awards 2018. This vote will be open to the public via the awards website for all registered users.

The Awards Ceremony will take place on December 12 in Madrid and will be held once again at the State Secretariat for Digital Advancement (Ministry of Economy and Enterprise), which will bring together the main stakeholders of organizations and reference companies.
